Honda accord whining noise when starting

The power steering on my 06 EX-V6 (8,000 miles) whines the first few minutes after starting the car. The whining, which started about 6 weeks ago, gets louder as I turn the wheel. When the car warms up, it stops whining. Since I first owned the car in October 05, the only time I ever heard the whining was on very cold (sub 32 F) mornings.

tripleh3195. This has happened to me as well on my dads car. Its on 08 Honda Civic LX. My theory is that it happens when there is low fuel in the vehicle. I noticed that when I'm low on gas, i would get the buzz sound, but when the gas level is higher than 1/4 of the tank, i dont here it. Still im a little concerned.It would intermittently start chirping and squealing. You can pop the belts off and spin them without a load on the bearing and listen.
