The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management has proposed to maintain the current monthly water and sewer rate structure for the period beginning July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020. Revenues from the Municipal Option Sales Tax (MOST), careful fiscal planning and conservation efforts have allowed Atlanta to keep rates at current levels. THE WEST ATLANTA WATERSHED ALLIANCE (WAWA) was founded in response to illegal dumping and a planned sewer project that could have proven detrimental to the health and well-being of the West Atlanta community.
